COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, JMH Weiss offers our clients and communities services using sustainable design principles. We recognize society's past approach to development and resource use cannot be sustained in light of continued population growth and environmental degradation. Through planning and design, JMH Weiss's expertise in a wide variety of land development enables projects to be developed while minimizing design impacts to the natural environment and community. In its broadest sense, sustainability is about creating healthy, economically viable communities that satisfy basic human needs.
To enhance our ability to design sites that are resource-efficient, we integrate the latest technologies and focus on a ‘global design’ mentality that succeeds in ensuring all design disciplines work together to achieve the common goal.
JMH Weiss is and has been involved in many residential, commercial, and office projects that achieved LEED accredited. Of particular note, our firm was the lead civil designer for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundations headquarters in San Mateo County, the first LEED Gold accredited project in California, and only the fifth in the nation. The project was completed in 2002. - read more
